If you haven't read His Dark Materials, you should. In that milieu, each person has a physical manifestation of one's personality - like a familiar - that takes the form of an animal. You can find out what your daemon is yourself. Here's mine. See if you agree with it. But you only have 12 days - after that, it won't transform any more!
